Who are we?
Ariana Sanchez - a Masters student in the Department of Computer Science at CU Boulder and a researcher in the Internet Rules Lab.
Casey Fiesler - Associate Professor in Information Science at CU Boulder and Director of the Internet Rules Lab
What is the study about?
The purpose of this study is to understand the attitudes and concerns of academic writers regarding the use of their published work in the context of artificial intelligence, including its use as training data and for AI-generated summaries.
What do we need?
We are looking for people who are 18+ and have been publishing scholarly work for five years or more – that is, published their first academic article or book in 2021 or earlier.
You will have the choice of completing the interview through voice chat, video chat (remotely), or in-person (in Boulder, CO).
The interview will be 30-90 minutes long. Interview participants will be compensated for their time with a $30 USD gift card.
