Research Study on Group Projects in Computing Education
Who are we?
Michelle Tran - Researcher in the Internet Rules Lab
Casey Fiesler - Assistant Professor in Information Science at CU Boulder and Director of the Internet Rules Lab
What is the study about?
We are investigating ethics in computing-related group projects. Your feedback would help inform the computing education community about the current state of tech ethics in group development settings and inspire future ethical software development processes that may be used both in and out of the classroom.
What do we need?
We are looking for teams of at least 2 students who are working together on a group project for a computing class, where each individual is 18+ and willing to participate in an hour long focus group. Note: not all members of a project team need to be present, just at least 2 of them.
Focus groups will be held in person on CU’s campus, and facilitated by Michelle.
Participants will be compensated for their time with a $30 gift card.
