We’re conducting a research study about tech workers and industry ethics!

Do you work in tech?

Who are we?
We are Camryn Kelley and Casey Fiesler, researchers who are exploring the attitudes that tech workers have when it comes to harmful or controversial practices and products developed by the technology industry.

What is the study about?
We are conducting a survey to better understand your thoughts towards ethics, harm, and responsibility in the industry. One of our goals is to explore what resources, structures, and standards might hinder or help your ability to act on potentially unethical practices. We especially welcome and encourage those who have never considered what ethical technology is or are hesitant to define ‘ethics’ in technology to complete the survey.

What will I need to do?
The survey is a mix of multiple-choice questions and open answers, and you can answer as much or as little as you would like. The survey should take on average about 15 minutes to complete. We will ask for some basic demographics, but won’t require any identifying information -- unless you would like to give us your email address to be informed about the results of the study or to be entered into a drawing for 1 of 5 $75 gift cards to your choice of Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Whether you participate or not, please consider sharing this survey with your social networks and anyone you know who works in the technology industry! If you have any questions at all, please contact Camryn at camryn.kelley@colorado.edu.
