We’re conducting research about Twitter!

Thank you for your interest in our study! Due to a large number of responses and the constraints of our university ethics approval, we have had to close the survey to further participation.

However! We will soon be opening a website for public eulogies for Twitter. Please watch this space for future opportunities for participation in this project.

(And in the meantime if you would like to share your feelings about Twitter in a non-academic-research way, the folks at A People’s History of Twitter are also running a similar survey of their own.)

Research Study: The Twitter Eulogy Project

What would you say at Twitter’s funeral? Would you miss Twitter if it were gone? Consider participating in our survey!

Who are we?

Blakeley H. Payne (PhD Student), Matt Nicholson (PhD Student), Brian Keegan (faculty), and Casey Fiesler (faculty) at the Department of Information Science at the University of Colorado Boulder.

What is the study about?

We are interested in how people are conceptualizing the role of Twitter in their lives and communities given recent changes to Twitter, and especially interested in understanding how people might be impacted if Twitter were no longer available.

The survey is mostly open answer questions, and should take you about 15 minutes to complete.

Who is eligible to participate?

You are eligible to participate if you are at least 18 years of age and are a current or past Twitter user.

How do I participate?

This survey is now closed to participation. Thank you for your interest!

If you have any questions about the study, you can email Blakeley H. Payne at blakeley.hoffman@colorado.edu.
